Austin Lake Hills Estates is located 7 miles West of downtown Austin off Cuernavaca Road and Bee Caves/2244. This entire area is often referred to as Austin Lake Hills or Austin Lake Estates, however, the entire area of homes off Cuernavaca Road North of Lake Austin is often referred to as just “off Cuernavaca”. This area is considered to have the most reasonably priced home in the Eanes School District. The homes average between $250,000 and $450,000 but can go as high as 4.5 million!

No manicured “dog shaped” hedges here. In the early 70′s the homes off Cuernavaca Road were a refuge for free spirits trying to avoid the rat-race of city life. The term “hippies” comes to mind. Now, the neighborhood ia a mix of old and new. One can find modern green homes next to mobile homes on 2 acre lots. The beauty of the neighborhood is the rustic charm of large, mature Oaks, large lots and tons of privacy. No sidewalks here! “Keep Austin Weird” should be the motto of this neighborhood!
Austin Lake Hills Estates Exemplary Schools
Austin Lake Hills Estates is located in one of the best school districts in Texas. Eanes ISD schools have been awarded Exemplary status year after year. The elementary school is Valley View Elementary. Children can start school here as early as kindergarten. The local soccer league, Westlake Youth Soccer, Cub Scout Pack keep all the kids organized by school. This means that your child will likely be in the same class as some of his Cub Scout buddies or soccer teammates. People in the neighborhood like to refer to it as a “village” and like to say “it takes a village to raise it’s children”. Junior High is West Ridge Junior High and high school is Westlake High School. Westlake High School has an excellent academia program as well as State Class Athletics!
Austin Lake Hills Estates Shopping and Dining
Talk about convenient! The local HEB grocery store is just down the road at Bee Cvaes and 360 and some of the best shopping and dining can be found at the brand new outdoor Hill Country Galleria. Here you can find such restaurants as Maudie’s Mexican food, Pei Wei chinese food, Panera Bread, Waterloo Ice House and much, much, more! They even have a huge movie theatre! Also, every store you can imagine from Dillard’s to Dick’s Sporting Goods can be found here!
